Graduation and Monday's Prayer

This past Saturday was the graduation at the high school
where I teach.
The first picture shows how beautiful the surroundings were.

One of 'my girls' getting her diploma and a hug.

This does not capture the best decorated caps, but it gives you an idea,

Just about done with diplomas and getting ready to switch the tassel
to the other side or their caps.

Our tiny band.

Here they begin the parade out to the middle of the football field
where they will toss their caps.

It is a tradition to decorate the senior hall the night before awards day
and graduation practice.
The girls 2nd and 3rd from the left and the one on the rt. end
are three of 'my girls'.

Monday's Prayer
Lord, I can't change the world around me,
but I can bring my life and requests to You.
May Your peace guard my heart and mind today.
Thank You that I can rest in You.
Amen

Be anxious for nothing,
but in everything by prayer and supplication,
with thanksgiving,
let your requests be made known to God'
and the peace of God,
which surpasses all understanding,
will guard your hearts and minds
through Christ Jesus.

This is finals week.
Teachers' last day is Friday.
I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel
called this school year.

Blessings to you all as you go through this week!

  1. You got some great graduation shots! I know it's hard to say good bye to those kids, especially some that were special to you. I know they feel the same!

  5. Yes, I agree, I hope your Summer brings a time of relaxation and refreshment. School and college studies continue here in the UK for another six weeks with final assessments and public exams.
