Obviously, they're choosing to snooze the day away not "seize the day(Carpe Diem)."
The picture is of my two cats when they were much smaller.
The following quote is from a Woman's desk top calendar I had last year. I tore off the page with this quote and put it on my fridge where it remains.
I thought it quite appropriate yesterday when I arose at 3:30 after 2 1/2 hours sleep to begin grading the junior general English poetry projects. Grades were due in Progress Report at 9 and I was due at school at 8. Yes, I'm a procrastinator, but also I've learned what my body does best in terms of fibromyalgia and a set-up like this actually works well for me.
The quote:
"I have a 'Carpe Diem' mug and, truthfully, at six in the morning the words do not make me want to seize the day.
They make me want to slap a dead poet."
----Joanne Sherman
Today I go in to clean up room and organize so the cleaning crews can gut it this summer. I have filing to do and boxes to fill--some will come home with me and some will wait patiently on the shelves until September.
Tomorrow I will be back participating in blog world, from which I've been absent.
Hope you all have a great day!
Oh, enjoy this last day of closing the door on another year! Yea!! You survived! (That's what I think every year!!)
