Connections

One day at the lake, when I was taking tree and sky pictures,
this indication of a jet appeared.
I tracked it with my camera until it was heading beyond my camera range.
The blue of the sky is flat, which is not what I'd hoped for, but I still like
the streak across the sky.

We cannot live only for ourselves.
A thousand fibers connect us with our fellow men;
and along these fibers,
as sympathetic threads,
our actions run as causes,
and they come back as effects.

Herman Melville (1819 - 1891)

From yet another great author:

The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.
I John 2:17

  2. True. In a way, it's exactly what I was trying to say on my post today... we are never alone, even when that's how we perceive it. The old "no man is an island" quote. So very true.

  6. Hi Beth, We all are connected in one way or another for sure.... That is special when you think about it, isn't it????? When I meet a long-lost cousin who has read one of my blog posts talking about an ancestor of ours ---I get so excited!!!!!! Yes---we are connected, one way or the other.
    Hugs,
    Betsy
