Corner View: Rock

Let me start with the acknowledgement of God as my rock and foundation.  That being said, my rock on earth was my dad.   Here he and I are at the WWII Monument in Washington.  His generation is known as the greatest generation: tough, sometimes cantankerous, they helped in many different ways to win WWII and keep most of our world free.  He's been gone too many years, but he is never forgotten, nor are the lessons he taught me.

  1. It's a beautiful tribute to your dad. Here in France we don't forget all what American guys did for liberation... My parents are also rocks for me too.

  4. Ahhhh---that wonderful generation... I think of my parents and recently, George's.... George Dad (as you know) lived til he was 101 (died in Nov, 2013). That generation of wonderful Americans were patriotic (unlike today's folks). They worked hard and put an emphasis on FAMILY (again, unlike today's).... They would never ever think of taking money from the Government (unlike today's)... What has happened to our country??? We need that generation BACK.

    Hugs,
    Betsy
