feel like i'm in a dark cave
i see light
but the glare hurts my eyes
the air is out there
but i can't breathe it in
i have sinus infection to thank for both
my knees are creaking
shaking
snapping out of place
i'm moving slowly
fearful of falling
( mom fell at my age
sprained her hip
never quite recovered)
so two shots
one to each knee
courtesy of doc
reaction to cortisone
brings hot flashes
i'm positive
come straight from hades
so i'll sit in my cave for awhile
venturing out only for work
gulping scripture meds with my pills
listening to praise songs
croaking along
keeping temper in check
while i try to get enthused
over -- of all occurances--
columbus discovering america
i'd tell you how that relates to jr. american lit
but i think i'll go to bed instead
Oh, Beth. I'm so sorry you're feeling bad, and going to work with it all. You know I'll be praying for you.

Hi There, I am now following you--but would love to know your first name. I like to know a little about my followers.... You can email me at betsyadams@mac.com....
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS cave... I looked at the precious pictures also. That's the type of place where George and I love to visit. Was there a waterfall nearby????
You are an excellent poet.... Loved it... Sometimes, especially on a hot summer day, I'd love to just sit in a cave --and get away from the world!!!!
Hugs,
Betsy
Bless your heart! I pray you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteRe: Cincinnati...we only live three hours away, so visit frequently. It is a fun weekend trip and such a fun city. Did you like your time there?
