Adding my End of the Week Psalm to
whose topic is Strength.
The Lord will give strength unto His people;
the Lord will bless His people with peace.
Psalm 29:11
Let the words
of my mouth,
and the meditation
of my heart
be acceptable
in thy sight,
O Lord,
my strength,
and my redeemer.
Psalm 19:14
For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle:
thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.
Psalm 18:39
It is God that girdeth me with strength,
and maketh my way perfect.
Psalm 18:32
The Lord is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.
Psalm 118:14
Sing aloud unto God our strength:
make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob.
Psalm 81:1
My flesh and my heart faileth:
but God is the strength of my heart,
and my portion for ever.
Psalm 73:26
Thy God hath commanded thy strength:
strengthen, God, that which thou hast wrought for us.
Psalm 68:28
My soul, wait thou only upon God;
for my expectation is from Him.
He only is my rock and my salvation: He is my defence;
I shall not be moved.
In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength,
and my refuge, is in God.
Trust in Him at all times;
ye people,
pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us.
Psalm 62: 5 - 8
Blessing to you all as you enjoy your weekend.
How would we make it without His strength? Hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love your pictures combined with the Psalms. They are all beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYour pictures illustrate the Psalm so beautifully Beth. He is indeed our strength. I am so thankful.
ReplyDeleteHi Beth, The words and the photos are all GREAT.... I loved the Psalm....
ReplyDeleteI also loved those photos... I think I told you this before, but that area looks alot like an area not far from here called Yahoo Falls...
Hugs,
Betsy
wonderful verses...just what i needed.
ReplyDeletei like that you post your "end of week" on saturday.
This was like going back in time to my visit at Grandfather Mountain in the Smokies...graffiti and all.
ReplyDeleteI like reading the Psalms from a Psalter used by Trappist monks...the old English blacklettering makes them really sing to me.
Happy Sunday, my dear!
Oh my, how encouraging. Thank you for sharing this with us at Three!
ReplyDeleteI love so many of these verses, and this morning they brought tears to my eyes, because I really needed His strength this week. And He was faithful. And my husband loved these photos... reminded him of his Kentucky roots.
ReplyDeleteI love how you have put the shots with verse. Just lovely, I'm your newest follower!
ReplyDeleteI always LOVE your photo + psalm posts! I think my favorite pairing is that photo of the upturned tree and "for thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle." It's as if the fallen tree is the army that was "subdued."
ReplyDeletePsalms 19:14 was the ending mediation at Sunday School--every Sunday of my childhood. It runs through my head all the time!
