Corner View: Sun

I have a t-shirt bought in San Jose that has a colorful sun with a face
in the middle of the S and the J.
It has been a favorite of mine to the point that it is quite faded
and even has a few tiny holes.
So now it is a work shirt.
I wore it today to work around the house.

Here is the sun face with the S and J mostly cropped out.

These are a set of my top ten favorite earrings.
I get compliments on my 'suns' every time I wear them,
like tonight at the grocery store!

I have two sun pins.  One is a stick pin; it is on the left.
The one on the right is a regular pin that can also be worn as a necklace.

A very dear friend of mine keeps a look-out at antique stores for pins
to surprise me with.
She always seems to know when I need some TLC
and the gesture never fails to lift my spirits and help me cope with my chronic pain.
This is one of the pins she bought for me.

Here I am with a cat who is wondering, "What in the world is going on!"
I had Mike snap a picture tonight of me in the t-shirt and earrings.
We had just finished supper and I scooped up Scruffy
to share the spotlight with me.
She protested a bit!

For more views on sun,
check out Francesca's Fuoriborgo.
I am posting early; Francesca's won't have hers up
for another 4 hours or so.

  1. I can understand why you love that t- shirt worn with matching earrings and pins. They are very cheering. I have old clothes that I love wearing and try to match with different jewelry.

  6. those old shirts that you just can't throw away are THE BEST, aren't they ? so comfortable ! i have a couple of them too !

to answer your question from my blog ... the circles are material that i wrapped around a cork board for one of the kids rooms some time ago. they've both got different ones now but i can't bear to get rid of this one so it lives on the wall in the guest bedroom ... as 'art' ... ha ha.

  10. One of the popular terracotta designs in this country, is that sun with the chubby cheeks - such a happy sun!
