Corner View: Good Memories

My mother made the red outfit for my daughter Sara.
I saved it and now her daughter Abigail can wear it.

Also an outfit of Sara's.
My mother sewed almost all my maternity clothes
and
a lot of Sara's clothes.
I kept quite a few of them.
Good memories of my mother
and the time, effort, and love
she gave to me and mine.

  1. This is a good example. My mother also sewed many outfits for me. I keep them even if I don't necessarily wear them.

  3. Nice memories! I used to love going to the fabric store with my mom to pick out fabric for a dress she was going to make for me.

  6. How neat that you kept that little red outfit. How special is that!!!! Your mom's memory and her creativity will live on in so many ways. How SPECIAL.

Please say a prayer for me tomorrow for my surgery. Thanks.

  7. Hooray for moms who sew! Mine did! So did my grandmother, who I wrote about today.

  8. Those are lovely outfits.

My mother sewed clothes for me too.

Though I never liked what she made - our taste clashed, we had terrible rows about clothing - I do appreciate her teaching me to sew, as I am now sewing clothes for myself quite effortlessly.
