Favorite photo of the week

I asked my husband to help me build a low retaining wall for
this flower bed by the back door.
We were both tired of stepping on loose stones
and into pools of rain-soaked dirt and debris
and were aware it was "a sprained ankle waiting to happen."

I agreed to go buy the material at Lowe's.
In the end, he used a pile of old bricks we had beside the garage,
from which he had to chisel the cement,
so they would lay right.

This is my favorite photo of the week--my wonderful husband
creating a rustic wall while a few of my newly-purchased plants
eagerly watch,
waiting for that moment when I can plant them.
Joining Fabulous Friday.

  1. You'll have to share a picture of the finished project. It's going to look great!

  2. This photo totally 'got' to me! how many times have I watched my own hubby work hard on creating something for me . . . wonderful shot. BTW - thank you for your comment on my bee's knees - my secret is that I take hundreds of shots which is no secret because isn't that what digital is all about? :)

  3. It is a very special blessing to have a husband who is willing to fulfill our wishes :-)
It is a sweet picture Beth. I think it will be a lovely spot.

  4. Yes ... looking forward to the final result.

  5. Sweet man, your work like that...He must love you :)
