First Scruffy. . .
Then George . . .
Then both cats sat entranced watching my husband Mike reveal the white hard-boiled eggs
from beneath the brown shell.
Who knew that peeling eggs could be so mesmerizing?

Haha, cute!
ReplyDeleteThat's funny! Cats are so curious.
ReplyDeleteIt must be the sound of cracking that fascinates.
ReplyDeleteHe was on the floor, right? That's all it takes
ReplyDeleteCute. It is free entertaining for them. Do the cats eat a bit of eggs? xo
ReplyDeleteLovely cats...
ReplyDeleteAdorable :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like your husband knows the secret for boiling eggs and easily and perfectly peeling them - will he share?
ReplyDeleteYour cats love you so much... and are filled with curiosity... which is one of the characteristics of cats that I've always enjoyed and made me laugh. [So would to have a cat again, but can't any more. My husband's allergy has increased. Guess I should love him more than a cat, right?--- Which I DO!!]
ReplyDeleteI peel my eggs in the water too! I think they peel easier that way.
ReplyDeletePerfect ... just perfect.
ReplyDeleteLol such curious cats! Great "eggs" post. :)
ReplyDeleteYour husband is a very good egg peeler!! How does he manage to do so many, so well, without digging into the white like I always end up doing?? I love the curiosity of your cat :-)
ReplyDeleteAs for your question about the health benefits of my eggnog - it certainly makes me feel good. It's quite filling (cos of the egg) and all I need is that and a few pieces of fruit and I'm set until lunchtime.
Wouldn't you love to know what's goig through their minds?
ReplyDeleteCats are just so curious... Love the pictures.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Betsy
i saw those hairy arms and knew it wasn't you cracking those eggs. what a wonderful scene. it makes me smile.
ReplyDeletei always enjoy your comments, beth. you put so much time and thought into them! i must go back to humpty dumpty, i assure you. i have long forgotten its gist. anyway. i like a good egg... ;)))
ReplyDeleteand you guys have mesmerizing eggs in the house! dusted with renovation grit? i hope not. from your comment on renovations (and thank you for your consideration, i have no idea where my boldness is coming from half of the time, but it does, and we go on. it is probably because this place is ours, do you think? i love owning property for the reason i can do what i like it it, but it does have the quality, or predominant feature, the shaping of all things takes looooooooooonger.....).
to answer your question, i am still wondering what to do with that ghastly green. because in actual fact i have done three walls as such in a room downstairs, and it takes some five layers before it gets decently covered (by a pale paint, i agree - but paleness all around i want...). all this repeat painting makes the process... even slower! ha ha ha...
aw, you see the symbolism of the dusted hands! i thought they were looking rather oddly wrinkled. i think i had a preview vision on really old age, if i'm lucky enough to get there...
time will tell.
courage on the renovation, you guys! i know exactement what you're going through. i call for the blues brothers often enough... 'when the going gets tough, the tough get going.' ...
n♥
I don't know about the eggs, but we're thinking of keeping chicken. Wonder what the cat will say about that?!
