Last summer, during the 4th of July weekend,
three of the grandkids and I took a golf cart ride
in our campground.
We came upon this flag hanging between two trees.
They had to have a photo taken in front of it,
of which I, Grandma that I am, obliged.
I posted these pics last summer,
but I thought they were so fitting for this day
that I decided to repost them
The first shot had P. saluting while D. looked at a bug, and A. checked out next door.
So I clicked again and got D. and A posing.
P got distracted, but held her salute!
The campground and most of Seneca Lake still does not have power
due to the storm that hit Ohio last Friday.
We are hoping that power will be restored by Saturday,
so we can watch the fireworks from our boat
and keep the grandkids overnight as usual.
Their mama still does not have power so my son gets to have them all week!
I love the 4th of July---for us it has always been a celebration of God, freedom, and family.
I'll end with this video of one of my favorite patriotic country songs.
Happy 4th of July!

God Bless the U.S.A by Lee Greenwood. (I'm new at video sharing).
That's a grand old flag! Nice pictures!
ReplyDeleteThat is one of my favorite patriotic songs, Beth... Thanks!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's what it is all about: God, freedom and family..
Happy 4th of July to you and yours. Great post.
Hugs,
Betsy
Hope you had a good 4th and are enjoying your summer.
ReplyDeleteI love that song by Lee Greenwood. I SO would like our people to truly turn to our Lord and trust Him and serve Him. Nothing else can count, of course.
ReplyDeleteI, too, hope you had a very good day with your dear ones.
